Music
Lutheran worship has a strong musical tradition. At Faith, our music includes expressions from cultures around the world and every age.
If you play an instrument at school or take private lessons and are interested in joining one of our instrumental ensembles, please let one of the musicians know or contact the church office. All are welcome!
Ministries
We invite you to add a new dimension to your spiritual walk and join us as we praise God!
Assisting Ministers & Cantors
The development of Faith’s worship leader formation program was facilitated by Joe Simmons, principal cantor of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in NYC, and was featured in The Lutheran magazine.
Assisting Ministers and Cantors cultivate their ministries by meeting with their respective groups for monthly forums and individually for personal coaching.
Assisting ministers
The role of the Assisting Minister is to engage the assembly in the liturgy. They do so through spoken word by proclaiming scripture and assisting the Presiding Minister at the font and table.
Cantors
Cantors proclaim the Word through chant and song at Sunday morning services and special services. They enliven the liturgy and lead the assembly to engage more fully in Word and sacrament.
Parish Choir
The Parish Choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings at 7:00pm and provides worship leadership at the 11:00 service from September through May. In June, July and August, Summer Choir meets at 10:00am to learn an easy piece to sing at the 11:00 service. This choir is open to anyone, including older children, regardless of whether they are a member of the Parish Choir or not.
Handbell Choirs
Grace Notes Handbell Choir meets on Tuesday evenings at 7:00pm and rings in worship once a month from September through May. A beginner’s handbell group, Morning Bells, rehearses on Saturday mornings at 9:30am and occasionally plays for worship.
